Soft Cell's Marc Almond brings his camp drollness to this week's Top Ten as he pays tribute to the 80's kings of electro-pop.
Of the bands listed, the Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and New Order are all still alive and kicking. Fondly remembered are the Human League and Erasure, though you may find yourself grimacing at footage of Gary Numan, Bronski Beat and the execrable Tears for Fears.
For the most part, the sounds of synth have dated extraordinarily well.
